TVB全球華人新秀歌唱大賽一直致力發掘具潛質的音樂新星，為華語樂壇注入新力量、新聲音！今年，13位來自香港、中國內地、新加坡、馬來西亞、加拿大、澳洲、紐西蘭及美國的參賽者，在2014年11月30日晚的舞台上向全世界施展渾身解數，大展各自音樂造詣，力爭成為樂壇一顆超新星。比賽在一片掌聲及歡呼聲中圓滿結束，12號參賽者徐凱（馬來西亞 – 柔佛州）憑著出色的表演及高超的歌唱技巧，勇奪新秀金獎；而13號黃箴祺（加拿大 – 卡加利）及6號高乙文（紐西蘭 – 奧克蘭）則分別奪得今屆新秀銀獎及銅獎。幾位新秀得主以歌聲締造自己的星光大道，成為華語樂壇新勢力，令樂壇大放異彩！

今年大會司儀由胡蓓蔚、姚兵及宋雙佳擔任，大會更邀請了多位知名音樂人組成專業評審團，包括：著名音樂人杜德偉、香港樂壇殿堂級歌星Maria Cordero、亞洲音樂鬼才陳奐仁、馬來西亞的創作才子陳威全及台灣人氣男子組合LOLLIPOP@F成員阿緯。他們肩負起評分的重任，在13位參賽者當中評選出冠軍得主，為華語樂壇發掘人才。5位評審更親身上陣，獻唱歌曲，天籟歌聲令全場觀眾聽得如癡如醉，將全場氣氛推上高峰！而是次賽事於香港時間11月30日（星期日）晚上7時30分至10時30分於TVB8現場直播至香港、中國內地、澳門、馬來西亞、新加坡、印尼、澳洲及紐西蘭，並轉播至加拿大、美國、英國及歐洲等地。

雖然今屆的得獎者已經揭曉，但評委們都一致贊同今屆參賽者的質素都非常高，實力難分高下。在今屆比賽中，大部分的參賽者也有修讀音樂學位 (他們分別來自: 四川音樂學院、美國茱莉亞音樂學院、紐西蘭奧塔哥大學音樂學院和馬來西亞UCSI大學古典音樂系)以及從少接受音樂訓練，如學習古典聲樂、小提琴、鋼琴和長笛等。由此可見，今屆比賽不止召集了世界各地熱愛唱歌的年青人，這群年青人更有非常濃厚的音樂造詣，令比賽增添不少緊張和刺激的氣氛！

《2014年度TVB全球華人新秀歌唱大賽》的成功有賴各平台的鼎力支持，TVB8非常感謝各單位的參與，同時十分期待來年的合作，繼續攜手發掘華語樂壇新星。

緣份的天空: 秀才遇著兵 Passion under the Sky: The Gentle Crackdown

秀才水東樓(陳豪)新上任良才縣知縣一職，決心整飭衙門內貪污之風。樓為人審慎，行動前必反覆思量一番，這種作風叫衝動的捕快陸拾義(周麗淇)看不過眼，二人儼如一對鬥氣冤家。另方面，貪財好賄的刑名師爺史其旺(黎耀祥)與樓多次交鋒後，終對樓的機智及勇氣衷心佩服，二人自此成為公堂上的好拍檔，聯手智破不少奇案。而義的膽識及鬥心贏得樓的稱許，獲升為馬快。

Scholar SHUI TUNG LAU (Chan Ho) becomes the new magistrate of Liangcai County. He is determined to fight against corruption in the magistrate’s office. His cautious working style drives impetuous constable LUK SHAP YEE (Chow Lai Ki) crazy. They form an argumentative couple. Meanwhile, corrupt government secretary SZE KEI WONG (Wayne Lai) has confronted LAU a few times before he completely admires his wit and courage. They become perfect partners at the judicial court and crack many mysterious cases together. YEE’s bravery and ambition win LAU’s compliment. She is promoted to sergeant.
