鍾國柱(岳華)是香港知名食評家兼報社副總編輯，他一直對即將從加拿大學成歸來的兒子鍾思翰(陳智燊)寄望甚高，希望他可在商界大展拳腳，可惜思翰卻對烹飪情有獨鍾，並在偶然的機會下認識了城中美女廚神岑貝兒(田蕊妮)，更成了貝兒的得力助手，正式投入飲食界；思翰的決定令父親大失所望，加上阿叔鍾國棟(歐錦棠)及阿姨孫瑪利(林漪娸)經常到家中製造事端，令國柱煩上加煩……
