The 55th Asia-Pacific Film Festival Awards Presentation

The Asia-Pacific Film Festival (APFF) is an annual event hosted by the Federation of Motion Picture Producers in Asia-Pacific (FPA). The mission of the APFF is to promote Asia-Pacific motion pictures to the world, unite the motion picture producers in the region, and foster culture exchange among its member cities. The 1st Asia-Pacific Film Festival (originally named Southeast Asia Film Festival) was held in 1954 and since then the member cities in Asia-Pacific take turns to host the festival every year. It is one of the world’s most established international film festivals.

This year, APFF will embrace its 55th anniversary in Macau from the 13th to 16th of December. With the theme “The New Starting Line”, the 55th APFF is dedicated to make the festival more international and discover more new talents, like new directors, actors, screenplays and powers.

This year, TVB8 will live broadcast the red-carpet & Award Presentation to Hong Kong, Macau, Mainland China, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia; and telecast to New Zealand, USA, UK & Europe, witness the memorial and historical moments of the awardees and Asian movie industry. And also, do not forget about the fascinating “The 55th APFF Special Features” on “E-New Front Line” of TVB8 starting from Mid-Dec daily.

Mandarin MOD Best 10 Awards Presentation 2011/2012

Annual music gala “Mandarin MOD Best 10 Awards Presentation 2011/2012” is here to reward the best Mandarin pop singers and brilliant musicians who have made great efforts to contribute to the music industry throughout the year. Nominated singers from all over the world will gather to share the honour. Stay tuned with TVB8 to witness this spectacular musical event.

2012 CMB Chin Chin Star Festival

Premieres 25 Dec Tue 8:00-10:00pm

Chin Chin Star Festival, one the most famous singing contest in Korea, attracts over 10,000 local and overseas contestants every year. This year, the contest invites popular artistes including Jay Park from 2pm, Teen Pops to be the performance guests. Meanwhile, Hong Kong representative Cherry Ho and Crystal Leung will represent TVB to compete against other Korean participants. They will make their best performance on stage, and present you a wonderful music show that should not be missed.
